Planet 13 Adds Fourth Florida Store

Planet 13 is opening a new Sarasota dispensary as part of its ongoing Florida buildout, according to a company announcement this week. It's the company's fourth operational store in Florida. It's also the second on the state's west coast, following the Fort Myers opening earlier this year.

The Sarasota store will carry Planet 13's full medical product lineup. No opening date was disclosed.

If the measure passes, Florida's adult-use market could generate $6 billion in annual sales by 2028, according to industry forecasts. Existing medical operators—Planet 13 included—would be first in line for adult-use licenses under the proposed framework.

Planet 13's store count remains small compared to Florida's dominant MSOs. Trulieve operates more than 120 Florida dispensaries, while Curaleaf and Verano each run 50-plus locations. But Planet 13's model has historically emphasized high-volume destination stores rather than saturation retail—its flagship Las Vegas SuperStore generates over $100 million in annual revenue from a single 112,000-square-foot location, making it one of the highest-grossing cannabis stores in the country.

Planet 13 hasn't disclosed total planned store count for Florida or capital allocated to the buildout. The company's Q2 2026 earnings call, scheduled for early August, may offer guidance on Florida expansion pace.
